With the onset of warmer weather and all those perfect T-shirts, you need to find the perfect bra. But this is a trick concept. There is no perfect bra since different tops demand different kinds of bras and choosing the right one – and ensuring it fits perfectly – is essential.
When we lose the comforting tailoring and loser knitwear of the winter, the horrible sight of bra cutting into the flesh of the back becomes more likely.
So avoid it by making sure that your bra straps are long enough to be fastened low, at the point where your back narrows.
Bras that combine a pretty, dainty style with support aren’t that easy to find. I’m a huge fan of Elle Macpherson range which combines substance with the delicacy of design, although many of the best of these bras aren’t smooth enough to wear under T-shirts.
Bodas bras are very good if you want something no nonsense with clean lines, and Myla (above left) has some perfect girly pieces that are great if you are wearing something where a glimpse of the bra is part of the plan.
Lejaby also has a very seductive range which again works best when the bra is the story, and not just the undergarment.
